The Africa’s Green Economy Summit (AGES) 2027 will return to Cape Town, South Africa, from 23–26 February 2027, bringing together investors, project developers, policymakers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders focused on turning Africa’s green transition into investable opportunities.
Under the theme “Africa’s Green Deal: Scaling Investment and Solutions for a Climate-Resilient Future,” the four-day summit is expected to attract more than 700 delegates and showcase over 40 investment-ready projects representing a pipeline exceeding US$2 billion. Opportunities will span renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, green transport, water, waste, agriculture, green buildings, the blue economy and climate technologies, positioning the event firmly around practical investment and project delivery rather than sustainability discussion alone.
A central feature of AGES is its role as a dealmaking platform connecting global capital with African projects, combining project pitches and innovation showcases with investor roundtables, curated matchmaking, private deal rooms and sector-specific networking. The 2027 programme will also expand its Climate, Carbon & Nature Financing Academy, helping participants explore carbon markets, nature finance and emerging investment mechanisms.
Since its launch in 2023, the wider AGES platform reports a project pipeline exceeding US$12 billion, more than 500 participating investors and over 140 projects presented, illustrating the growing appetite for mechanisms that can move African green infrastructure and technology from promising concepts towards commercially financed projects.
