CPI Euromix gets educated on Sustainability Leadership and Corporate Responsibility

CPI EuroMix Chief Operating Officer Tony O’Sullivan recently completed a Sustainability Leadership and Corporate Responsibility programme at the London Business School led by sustainability strategy scholar Ioannis Ioannou.

The programme reconceptualises sustainable leadership and inspires business leaders to develop a holistic strategy that will enable the transition to a more sustainable business model.

The six-week programme helps participants to understand sustainability at a strategic level, equipping them with the knowledge, tools, insights and frameworks to embed sustainability into their corporate DNA.

Speaking of the programme’s impact, Tony O’Sullivan reflected: “The programme was very much focused on sustainable leadership and looking at how you can take a proactive rather than reactive or tick-box approach to the broad subject that is sustainability. It draws attention to the notion that true sustainability leadership extends further than ‘being green’; diversity, inclusion and wellbeing are huge components too. A large part of this programme was about shifting this paradigm and realising that there are many pieces to the sustainability puzzle.

“Ultimately, the programme equipped me with the principles, research and frameworks that can now be tailored to the needs of the business,” continued Tony. “This experience will help inform CPI’s sustainability strategy going forward.”

The learnings from this programme are already evident in CPI EuroMix’s sustainability action plan, a granular strategy with five key strands including customer and product, people, resources, community and ethics. The strands ensure CPI EuroMix implements sustainable business practices through engagement with key stakeholders.

“For CPI EuroMix, a key part of implementing our sustainability agenda involves cascading the knowledge to colleagues in an understandable, coherent way. We want them to be part of the change and to inspire and influence them in their day to day lives by sharing information and encouraging them to live sustainably.  I believe most people want to do the right thing in terms of sustainability but need guidance on how they can achieve it. I believe as a sustainable business we have an obligation to help support our colleagues and provide them with information through sustainable living initiatives.”

“The Sustainability Leadership and Corporate Responsibility programme at London Business School has been instrumental to how I envision CPI EuroMix’s future and growth,” continued Tony. “As a business leader, I look forward to what’s in store.”
