Caterpillar’s Century of Innovation on Show at bauma
Caterpillar Inc. is set to make history at bauma 2025, celebrating a century of ground-breaking engineering and looking ahead to a future defined by innovation, sustainability, and advanced technologies. With the theme “The Next 100 Years,” Caterpillar aims to showcase its commitment to helping customers transition towards lower emissions, enhanced efficiency, and smarter job sites.
From 7-13 April, 2025, the world’s leading construction equipment manufacturer will take centre stage at Hall B6, covering over 9,000 m² of exhibition space. Attendees can expect an immersive experience featuring 48 machines, 17 new introductions or upgrades, and a dynamic display of battery-electric solutions, demolition and waste-handling equipment, and next-generation technologies.

Cat Performance Centre: Power Meets Innovation
At the heart of Caterpillar’s showcase will be the Cat Performance Centre, an interactive hub demonstrating the power of machinery, autonomy, and data-driven technology working in unison. Here, visitors will explore how fleet upgrades featuring Caterpillar’s latest innovations can slash fuel consumption and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Attendees will also get an up-close look at the latest advancements in battery-electric equipment, including:
- 301.9 Mini Hydraulic Excavator
- 906 Compact Wheel Loader
- Updated 320 and 950 GC prototypes
Visitors can experience an electrified jobsite simulation, offering real-world insights into how electric-powered solutions are already making an impact on emissions and efficiency.
Pushing the Boundaries of Connectivity and Safety
Caterpillar continues to redefine connectivity with its suite of advanced equipment management solutions. Live demonstrations of VisionLink® will highlight its capabilities in operations, safety, and fleet management, ensuring maximum uptime and streamlined workflows.
Enhanced Cat Detect Portfolio features will also be in the spotlight, including:

- Seatbelt Monitoring
- Driver Safety System (DSS)
- Collision Mitigation
Operators will also get hands-on experience with Cat Grade technology, including Cat Grade with 3D and Cat Payload for Excavators. Additionally, Cat Command will showcase remote-controlled machine operation, linking bauma visitors to live machine demonstrations happening across Europe, including at the Caterpillar Demonstration and Learning Centre in Málaga, Spain.

- Next Generation Compact Track Loaders with enhanced power, stability, and operator comfort.
- D8 Dozer featuring a redesigned high-end operator station, 15-degree angled seat for comfort, and Cat Grade 3D capability.
- 140 AWD Next Generation Motor Grader, a 20-tonne prototype designed to consolidate two existing platforms, offering enhanced configurations and technology.
Expanding the Material Handler and Demolition Lineup
- MH3032 Material Handler, tailored for scrap handling with a near 15-metre reach and up to 1m³ grapple.
- 330 UHD Ultra High Demolition Hydraulic Excavator, equipped with a Stability Monitoring System, Cat Payload, and Cat Grade Control with 2D.
- 340 VAB Variable Angle Boom, ideal for demanding demolition sites.
Railroad and Heavy Haul Solutions
- M323 Next Generation Wheeled Excavator, purpose-built for the railroad industry, featuring multiple transmission options and lifting capacities.
- Prototype Cat 775 Off-Highway Truck, transitioning to the Next Generation platform with increased body volume.
- Reintroduced 395 Front Shovel, featuring a Cat C18B engine and extended service intervals for improved durability and performance.

Customer Value Agreements (CVAs), Parts.cat.com, SIS2GO, and ProductLink™ will all be featured, showing how digital solutions are transforming equipment management.
Damien Giraud, Senior Vice President of Caterpillar’s Construction Industries Services Division, emphasised the company’s commitment to service excellence: “As part of our Services Commitment, we guarantee next-day maintenance and second-day common repair parts availability. If parts aren’t available as promised, customers may receive reimbursement depending on the region and dealer agreements.”
Caterpillar will also showcase its Cat Certified Rebuild Program and Cat Certified Used Equipment, helping customers extend machine lifecycles and reduce environmental impact.
Advancing Jobsite Power and Fuel Innovation
Caterpillar is spearheading the shift towards renewable energy and alternative power solutions. In Hall A4 (Stand 336), visitors will see a diverse range of industrial engines compatible with 100% hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), including:
- C13D Engine
- High-power C3.6 Engine (106 kW/142 hp)
- C9.3B and C2.8 Engines
For on-site power generation, EUV-certified XQP generator sets and the XES60 mobile battery energy storage system (BESS) will be displayed, demonstrating how Caterpillar’s technology can seamlessly integrate solar, grid power, and liquid fuel generators to maximise efficiency and reduce emissions.
