The International Road Federation will bring together global transport leaders, policymakers and engineers in Varna, Bulgaria, on 3–4 June 2026 for its flagship Global Summit on Funding & Leveraging AI Applications for Roadway Innovations.
The two-day event, held alongside the XIXth Bulgarian National Transport Infrastructure Conference, will focus on how artificial intelligence, data-driven decision-making and new funding models are reshaping the way road networks are planned, managed and financed.
With road authorities facing mounting pressure from declining fuel tax revenues, ageing infrastructure and rising safety expectations, the summit aims to move beyond theory, showcasing real-world case studies, scalable solutions and practical strategies that can be embedded within modern road agencies to deliver safer, more resilient and efficient transport systems.
