Project Management for Infrastructure Projects
The International Road Federation Project Management for Infrastructure Projects (PM26) workshop in Kuala Lumpur is an intensive five-day, in-person programme designed to build practical expertise in delivering complex transport infrastructure schemes.
Focused on roads, bridges, and tunnels, the course takes participants through the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and procurement through to execution, monitoring, and final delivery—while introducing key tools such as work breakdown structures, scheduling, and modern project delivery methods like Design-Build and Accelerated Bridge Construction.
Beyond core project management fundamentals, the programme places strong emphasis on real-world challenges, including risk management, cost control, contracting strategies, and resource optimisation. It also integrates forward-looking elements such as sustainability, resilience, and the application of digital technologies including AI, big data, and asset management systems, ensuring participants leave with a well-rounded, future-ready skill set applicable to today’s increasingly complex infrastructure environment.
