The 51st International Road Conference & Expo (CESTE 2027) will take place from 16–19 March 2027 at the Pical Resort in Poreč, Croatia, bringing together road authorities, civil engineers, transport specialists, researchers and infrastructure companies from across Europe and beyond.
Established as a forum for exchanging technical expertise and practical experience, the conference focuses on the planning, design, construction, maintenance and management of road networks. With road safety, infrastructure modernisation and sustainable transport increasingly central to European investment priorities, CESTE provides an opportunity for industry professionals and policymakers to examine the challenges facing road infrastructure and share approaches to delivering safer, more efficient transport systems.
The four-day programme will explore nine principal themes, including Vision Zero, intelligent transport systems, innovative construction technologies, sustainable mobility, smart cities and climate-resilient infrastructure. Particular attention will be given to improving road safety, integrating digital traffic management technologies and developing more effective approaches to infrastructure maintenance and asset management.
Technical presentations and panel discussions will bring together academic research, public-sector experience and commercial innovation, offering practical insights into how emerging technologies and engineering solutions can improve the performance, resilience and environmental sustainability of road networks.
Alongside the technical programme, CESTE 2027 will feature an industry exhibition and dedicated B2B networking opportunities, connecting infrastructure owners, consultants, contractors, equipment manufacturers and technology providers.
Supported by Croatian government institutions, professional engineering organisations and academic partners, the event provides a platform for building international partnerships and exploring developments in European road construction and transport policy. Participants can also benefit from professional education opportunities, with 12 recognised education hours associated with the conference.
