World Economic Forum and Construction CEO’s offer local Governments Coronavirus support

The World Economic Forum and top CEO’s from the world’s largest construction and infrastructure companies have written an open letter to local governments around the world to help with their COVID-19 responses.

The open letter is signed by 11 CEO’s:

  1. Steve Demetriou, Chair & CEO – Jacobs
  2. Coen van Oostom, Founder & CEO – EDGE Technologies / OVG Real Estate
  3. John Beck, Chairman – Aecon group Inc.
  4. Frank Roseen, Executive Director Capital markets & Member of the Board of Directors – Aroundtown SA.
  5. Alan Belfield, Chairman – Arup Group
  6. Mads Nipper, Group President & CEO – Grundfos Holding A/S
  7. George Oliver, Chairman & CEO – Johnson Controls
  8. Christian Ulbrich, Global CEO & President – Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated
  9. Philippe Delorme, Energy Management Business CEO – Schneider Electric
  10. Eric Rondolat, CEO – Signify
  11. Ian L. Edwards, President & CEO – SNC-Lavalin

The letter, signed by the 11 CEO’s offers support through two main ways:

  1. Assisting Governments, States & Cities with the expansion of hospital facilities by repurposing existing buildings and constructing new medical facilities; and
  2. Supporting the Connected Units for Respiratory Ailments (CURA) initiative, whose objective is to construct and deploy mobile Intensive Care Units housed in modular shipping containers.
