Highways England is preparing to issue bids for a four year road pavement improvement framework programme valued at £3.3billion, which will cover regional investment programme projects around the country.

The framework programme will be broken down into a dozen lots, with each of the main regions split into projects valued to £1m or more, and will involve the supply of materials, plant &equipment, and labour to carry out patching and pothole repairs, asphalt paving operations, and road construction works.

Highway England is expected to issue procurement notices by the end of March 2017.
