SWARCO Traffic maintains quality standards with ISO certification

SWARCO Traffic Ltd, the traffic technology specialist, has achieved ISO 45001 accreditation for Occupational Health and Safety.

The previous BH OHSAS 18001 was well integrated within SWARCO’s processes and procedures, enabling a smooth transition to the new ISO 45001 standard which organisations need to upgrade to by March 2021.

Paul Atkinson, Head of Group Compliance at SWARCO, says it was important to adopt the new standard as soon as possible: “The health and wellbeing of our employees is of paramount importance to us. It is also important for us to reassure both our customers and suppliers that we have a systematic and proven approach to health and safety compliance in place.

“We were confident that our existing safety management system was to an excellent standard, and this helped to bring our policies and procedures in line with the new standard.”

This follows on from SWARCO Traffic recently achieving Cyber Essentials Certification, a government-backed scheme that helps organisations to protect themselves and their data against a whole range of common cyber attacks, verifying policies and procedures to meet the required standard for Corporate Cyber protection.
