An independent Land Rover specialist has bought one of the first of JCB’s brand new 3.5 tonne mini excavators.

Purchased by Bridgwater-based C.W. Feltham Ltd, the 36C-1 is a conventional tailswing mini excavator and is a totally new addition to the JCB range. It provides increased productivity with more reach, stability and lifting performance which will be invaluable for C.W. Feltham Ltd when using the machine for groundworks projects as it develops its busy vehicle yard.

C.W. Feltham Ltd Director, Andrew Feltham said: “As a Land Rover dealership we are passionate about iconic British brands so it is fantastic to invest in JCB equipment too. After talking to our dealer Holt JCB, they recommended the 36C-1 mini. We liked what we saw and felt it would tick all the boxes for us, so a deal was done there and then.

“It’s just a brilliant machine to operate, so smooth and positive on the controls. So far we have used it for a range of on-site jobs including digging foundations and general site clearance. It has been a real pleasure to run, and we are delighted with it in every aspect.”

The JCB 36C-1 mini excavator is powered by a three-cylinder Stage V Perkins engine, delivering 18.4kW (24.6hp). It uses mechanical fuel injection and has no requirement for a diesel particulate filter (DPF) or any form of exhaust after-treatment.

C.W. Feltham Ltd is an independent Land Rover Specialist based near Bridgwater, Somerset. Founded in 1985, it provides a wide range of services to maintain and repair Land Rover branded vehicles with fully equipped workshops and Jaguar Land Rover trained technicians with access to all of the latest diagnostic equipment.
