Stevens Equipment Rental renews and expands hire fleet with 37 VolvoCE machines

With a working relationship reaching as far back as the 80s, Stevens Equipment Rental reaffirms its commitment to SMT GB by placing an order for 37 additional new Volvo machines.

Ordered as part of a fleet renewal and expansion programme, the order consists of 12 A30Gs, 7 A45Gs, 3 L90Hs, 1 L110H, 4 L120Hs, 4 L150Hs, 5 L180Hs, and two L260Hs.

The robust design, high uptime and long service life that characterises both the Volvo A30G and A45G ensures that Stevens Equipment Rental’s customers benefit from maximised productivity, whether the machines are used on quarrying, mining or earthmoving applications.

The machines also benefit from the inclusion of a wide range of optional extras, including; 360° cameras, skip-up buzzers, reversing radars and deep tread tyres.

To meet the demands of rental customers, all of the newly ordered wheeled loaders feature the addition of quick hitch couplers, 3rd line hydraulics, autolube systems and reversible fans, as well as a full range of attachments to suit. All of the new wheeled loaders also come equipped with Load Assist, which provides the operators with a wide range of operation optimising software solutions, such as an on-board weighing system, real-time site maps, a unit conversion calculator and a weather monitoring app.

Commenting on the order, Director Andrew Stevens states: “They’re well received in the marketplace. We find that they are easy to rent out because everybody wants to rent a Volvo over other brands; especially in the ADT market.” Continuing, Andrew adds: “We find that they are reliable and command strong residual values. From an operator’s perspective, they also find them to be nice to use, and that the cabs are a nice and comfortable environment to be in.”

All of the new machines are equipped with Volvo’s highly efficient stage V engines, and benefit from the addition of CareTrack, which ensures their productivity and uptime is maximised, while their fuel and maintenance costs are minimised.

Based in Cumbria, Stevens Equipment Rental is a second generation family run and managed business with over 45 years’ experience in the construction equipment rental industry.
