Eurovia Contracting appointed to £450m Midlands Highways Alliance framework
Eurovia Contracting has been appointed onto the new £450m Midlands Highways Alliance (MHA) framework that will cover works carried out by 21 local authorities over the next four-years.
Eurovia Contracting is one of four companies that has successfully won a place on the MHA Medium Schemes Framework 3, which covers work including highways improvements, maintenance and infrastructure works.
The contract commenced on 17th July and replaces the MHA MSF2 framework, which was in place for four years until June this year.
Neil Huntington, Eurovia Contracting Regional Director, said: “Eurovia has been a part of the MHA since 2010 and we were awarded the very first contract on MSF1, the Loughborough Eastern Gateway.
“During the last eight years we have been proud to be part of this framework, delivering schemes across the region for many of the midlands local authorities, and we look forward to being part of the new framework.
“Gaining pole position on the MHA MSF3 will provide further opportunities to develop our in-house delivery expertise, which has been an important part of our success.
“It will offer opportunities to deliver best value services from across our businesses, as well as continuing to work with long-term local supply chain partners across the region, which will provide real benefit to local people and local communities.”
The anticipated four-year value of MSF3 is more than double the spend through the previous framework and, from 2020, a significant investment will also be made in the Major Road Network (MRN) across the MHA region from ring-fenced Vehicle Excise Duty.
