Red Rhino Crushers in England win Plantworx Environment Award
Red Rhino Crushers are delighted to announce that they are the Environment Winners in the prestigious Plantworx 2017 Awards for Innovation.
Sponsored by the Construction Equipment Association the coveted Plantworx prize recognises the progress made by the company in developing innovative new products, which are specifically designed to reduce their customer’s carbon footprint.
Speaking after the award ceremony in London, Simon Winfield, Managing Director of Red Rhino Crushers said, “One of the attractions of acquiring the Red Rhino Mini-Crusher brand in 2009 was the opportunity to help to drive down harmful emissions by reprocessing waste materials for use on the same site. This vastly reduces vehicle movements, emissions, transport noise, congestion, airborne dust and overall project costs. Our new tracked 3-Way Screener which we introduced last year complements this process, enabling a variety of clean products to be produced all in one, simple, low cost operation.”
“Our most popular crushers and screens are track mounted with diesel hydraulic drive fully complying with the latest and most stringent global emission regulations. Continuing the environmental theme, we decided to develop an all-electric version of our very popular 5000 Series tracked crusher. This excellent plant has a 500 x 250mm jaw crusher and has been fitted with a 30 kW electric motor in place of the diesel engine. The first electric version has already been sold to crush material in an underground mine but it could equally be deployed inside a building or a tunnel or wherever exhaust emissions cannot be tolerated”.
On arrival the operator can simply “plug and play” with the 5000 Electric using all the same excellent features that Red Rhino products are renowned for. Standard features on the 5000 Electric include full wireless remote control for tracking, crusher start/stop, crusher adjustment and crusher reversal. It is fitted with dust suppression as standard and optional extras include an overband magnet and even a plant mounted screen.
The 5000 Series is used for many applications such as crushing concrete, brick rubble, refractory waste, glass, asphalt as well as soft-medium strength rock types.
The electric motor and starter panel fits neatly in place of the diesel engine power pack. The plant can be transported on a small plant trailer as it weighs only 2.9 tonnes and has very compact dimensions making it ideal for small sites in urban areas.
Simon Winfield concluded by saying “We would like to thank the Plantworx Team for recognising our achievement and we proudly look forward to participating at the show at Bruntingthorpe on the 6 – 8th June.”
Red Rhino Crushers will be at this years Plantworx Exhibition – stand E55.
