Cenex-LCV and Cenex-CAM announce headline speakers

Cenex, the organisers of the UK’s leading low carbon vehicle event, has officially announced the headline speakers ahead of this year’s Cenex-LCV and Cenex-CAM.

Incorporating high calibre delegates from both UK and globally renowned organisations, the speakers will be split across the two-day event, which will be held at UTAC Millbrook, Bedfordshire on 7 and 8 September.

Following an opening welcome on the first day from Cenex Chair, Dennis Hayter, visitors to the event will hear from:

  • Fred Perry, Director, Advanced Engineering, Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy
  • Indro Mukerjee, CEO, Innovate UK
  • Ian Constance, CEO, Advanced Propulsion Centre UK
  • Isobel Pastor, Head of The Centre for Connected & Autonomous Vehicles
  • Stefan Deix, Director of The European Council for Automotive R&D – EUCAR
  • Kazahiro Doi, Corporate Vice President, Nissan Research Centre
  • Dr Guenter Groemeier, Executive Vice President, ETAS Germany

Vaughan Gething, Minister for the Economy of Wales, is set to address visitors at the start of the second day, with contributions during day 2 from senior government and industry leaders including:

  • Mike Hawes, CEO of The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)
  • Graham Hoare, Co-Chair, Automotive Council UK
  • Sophie Adams, Head of Consumer Experience
  • Tony Harper, Challenge Director, Faraday Battery Challenge
  • Andy Eastlake, CEO, Zemo Partnership

In total, more than 80 speakers will participate in 14 sessions over the 2 days and there will be additional workshop activities.

This year’s event marks the 15th anniversary of Cenex-LCV and a return of international delegates for face-to-face meetings for the first time since 2019. It will also mark a pivotal point for the UK innovation community as the global motor industry moves closer towards the 2030 and 2050 targets.
