Hitachi Construction Machinery UK celebrates achieving FORS silver accreditation
The Fleet Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme for fleet operators which aims to raise the level of quality within fleet operations, and to demonstrate which operators are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.
With over 4900 accredited members, FORS is the leading UK fleet accreditation scheme which allows companies who operate a fleet of vehicles to achieve or retain 3 levels of FORS accreditation – FORS Bronze, FORS Silver or FORS Gold.
Hitachi Construction Machinery have held the bronze level of accreditation for several years and are now delighted to announce that we have recently achieved FORS silver accreditation.
Although FORS is arguably aimed at HGV operators it provides the essentials for running a vehicle fleet of any size and has provided the toolkits necessary for HCMUK to operate a safe and efficient fleet by implementing best practice, and by meeting all the mandatory bronze and silver requirements of the FORS standard.
Stacey Coffey, Company Fleet Coordinator at HCMUK said: “Achieving FORS Silver accreditation is a great achievement for HCMUK, and it demonstrates our compliance with all of the bronze and silver requirements of the FORS standard. Being FORS accredited allows us direct to access to many third party sites which strengthens our ability to service our customer needs whilst showing that we are working safely and efficiently.
“I am very proud of the work that has been put in by all of our employees as we are only able to achieve and maintain accreditations such as FORS because of the commitment all our employees show towards improving standards and implementing best practice.”
HCMUK are committed to retaining our FORS silver accreditation, and in collaboration with our other certifications we will continue to operate in a safe and environmentally sustainable way.
